Men's Soccer Wins Thriller Over Southwestern

IMPERIAL, CA (11/8/2022)-- Men's Soccer's last conference game of the season was vs Southwestern Community College. On Tuesday the team took on Southwestern CC in a home match for IVC. The last time the teams met Southwestern walked away with a close victory 3-2 as the teams battled in Chula Vista. On Tuesday Kevin Sanchez would start the scoring off by getting IVC on the board in the 30th minute off a Kevin Galvin assist. The teams battled back and fourth but no other scoring took place in the first half. Jose Monzon would be the star of the second half finding the back of the net twice, once in the 60th minute and again in the 77th minute. IVC would win the match 3-2 earning their third conference victory of the season. The team ends its schedule with a nonconference game at Chaffey on 11/10.
