Men's Soccer Beats San Diego Mesa, Again

IMPERIAL (10/25/2022)-- Men's Soccer's first win of the season came in late September on the road at San Diego Mesa. The two teams played again at IVC on 10/25. The game was back and fourth early, scoreless for the first 30 minutes of play. Luis Carrillo broke the 0-0 tie as he found the back of the net in the 30th minute giving IVC a 1-0 lead. This would be the only scoring action in the first half as the teams went to halftime with IVC up 1-0. The second half was packed with action starting with a German Molina goal in the 65th minute to push IVC's lead to 2-0. SD Mesa answered quickly with a score of their own only three minutes later reducing IVC's lead to 2-1. SD Mesa's goal was quickly rebutted by Luis Carrillo's second goal of the day in the 70th minute. Kevin Sanchez found the back of the net 10 minutes later giving IVC a commanding 4-1 lead in the 90th minute. The match would end in a 4-1 win for IVC giving men's soccer their second PCAC victory of the year.
