Imperial Valley College Softball is off to an impressive start in the 2025–26 season, posting a 9–7–2 overall record through 18 games while establishing itself as one of the top offensive teams in the state.
The Desert Warriors currently lead California in runs scored (134) and RBIs (117), reflecting the program’s balanced and aggressive offensive approach. As a team, IVC is batting .370 with an outstanding .512 on-base percentage, ranking among the top programs statewide. Their plate discipline has been a key factor, as the Warriors have drawn 84 walks — the most in the state — consistently creating scoring opportunities.
Power production has also played a major role in the team’s success. The Desert Warriors hold a .550 team slugging percentage with 36 extra-base hits, including 22 doubles, 6 triples, and 8 home runs. IVC has recorded multiple high-scoring performances, including three 18-run games, demonstrating their ability to capitalize on offensive momentum.
Several everyday contributors have led the charge:
• Anahi Lopez is batting .500 with a .647 slugging percentage.
• Lorea Alvarado is hitting .486 and continues to provide key offensive production.
• Victoria Vallejo (.480, .680 SLG) has been a steady presence in the lineup.
• Jackie Robles (.450) has delivered consistent at-bats throughout the early season.
• Maliyah Jackson Montoya (.414, .828 SLG) has added significant power and run production.
With conference play approaching, the Desert Warriors look to build on their strong foundation and continue competing at a high level.
